Hoverspeed have introduced Superseacats for the Dover Calais channel crossing which are monohull high speed craft with a crossing time of only 35 minutes. At 100m long they can operate up to 40 knots and can carry up to 700 passengers and 145 vehicles.

We recommend self-drive using the extensive autoroutes or at a more leisurely pace with overnight stop-overs. Travelling by car gives you the flexibility of travelling to other areas. The region is an ideal base for touring the Alpes and Northern Provence and day trips to Italy are possible.
